What this template handles
The CWS bracket is not a simple single-elimination chart. A generic table can miss the elimination path and conditional games, so this workspace keeps those pieces visible.

How to use it
Work in tournament order instead of moving team names by hand in a spreadsheet.
- 1
Add the teams
Enter the eight Omaha qualifiers in the seed slots. If the official field is not complete, keep the placeholder names for now.
- 2
Advance each bracket
Click the winner of each game in Bracket 1 and Bracket 2. Winners and losers move into the next required matchup automatically.
- 3
Finish the finals
After both bracket winners are set, choose the first two MCWS Finals games. If the teams split them, pick Game 3.
FAQ
What format does the College World Series use?
The Men's College World Series Omaha stage uses eight teams split into two four-team double-elimination brackets. The two bracket winners meet in a best-of-three championship series.
How is this different from a normal 8-team single-elimination bracket?
In a normal 8-team single-elimination bracket, one loss ends a team's run. In the CWS bracket stage, a team can lose once and continue through the elimination path, so the bracket needs extra games and conditional slots.
Does this tool support the CWS if-necessary games?
Yes. Each four-team bracket includes a conditional seventh game, and the finals includes a conditional Game 3 when the first two games are split.
Can I use this before the official field is complete?
Yes. Start with placeholder Super Regional winners, then replace the slots as the Omaha field is finalized.
Can I print or export the bracket?
Yes. The tool can print the page, export a PNG, or copy a share link with the current teams and picks.
Is SnapBracket affiliated with the NCAA or the College World Series?
No. SnapBracket is an independent bracket tool and is not affiliated with the NCAA, MLB, or any official tournament organizer.
