Organizing a tournament? Our free tournament bracket generator is the easiest way to create professional-looking brackets for any sport or game. Whether you're hosting a small ping pong tournament, a massive esports event, or a simple office pool, we've got you covered.

How to Create a Tournament Bracket?

Creating your custom bracket is simple and takes just a few seconds:

  1. Enter the Number of Teams: Input the total number of participants or teams in your tournament.
  2. Select Bracket Type: Choose between Single Elimination or Double Elimination formats.
  3. Generate & Print: Click generate to see your bracket instantly. You can then print it or download it as an image to share with players.

Supported Bracket Types

Single Elimination Brackets

The most common and straightforward format. A team is eliminated after a single loss. This is perfect for when you have limited time or a large number of teams.

  • Pros: Fast, high stakes, easy to understand.
  • Cons: Half the teams go home after just one game.

Double Elimination Brackets

Teams assume they are in the "Winners Bracket" until they lose a game, at which point they drop to the "Losers Bracket". A team must lose twice to be eliminated.

  • Pros: Teams get a second chance, more fair result.
  • Cons: Takes longer to complete (about twice as many games).

Tournament Bracket FAQ

1. Can I handle an odd number of teams?

Yes! Our generator automatically handles odd numbers of teams by assigning Byes to the highest-seeded teams in the first round. A "Bye" means a team advances to the next round without playing.

2. Is this bracket maker free?

Absolutely. You can generate, print, and download as many brackets as you need for free.

3. How do I seed the teams?

Seeding is the process of ranking teams to ensure fair matchups. Typically:

  • Seed #1 plays the lowest seed.
  • Seed #2 plays the second lowest seed, and so on. If you don't have rankings, you can assign seeds randomly or based on sign-up order.
